Underrated animated movies

I’ve been feeling very sick since Monday, and what do I do when I am sick? Watch old animated movies. For me, there is no better cure. I mentioned a few of the movies I watched to some friends and to my suprise, alot of them never heard of these movies. Or they heard of them vaguely. So I deided to make a  list of movies I think are underrated, in no real order. I just write as I go. So let’s go!

Movie; 9

I’ve been finding alot of good movies lately haven’t I? Don’t worry, I go back to the shitty ones soon enough. Too be honest I didn’t want to review another movie that I liked, just for the purpose of it not being entertaining enough. But I found the movie ’9′ so well done. That I just had to.  Continue reading

Good movie; Mary & Max

When you live in country like the Netherlands. Most movies in the cinema come from Hollywood. Big effects, huge budgets, top notch actors, you name it. Once in a while they show a different kind of movie, a great movie, from another country but it’s a rare thing to happen. Even if it happens it’s shown for a week or two in an arthouse cinema.

Why am I talking like some stupid hipster fool? Because I am going to review a great movie I’ve found; Mary & Max. It’s an Australian movie from 2009. I found it laying somewhere in the local DVD shop. For only 2 euros I decided to give it a chance. The cover looked intresting anyway.

Shark Night 3D

A movie about sharks eating people? That is impossible to fuck up right? You take a bunch of dumb teenagers, but them near water and wait for a few sharks to come and take a bite. Sure it wouldn’t be a great movie but it would be worth the watch.

Shark Night is non of this. It’s a worthless piece of shit that is both a waste of money and time. It has a stupid plot twist, an even dumber ending. Shitty actors and horrible special effects. I am so pissed off about this because the director also directed (directors gonna direct) Final Destination, a movie I really did enjoy. So how bad is it? Let’s dive right in and find out.

Yes, all at once!

So grab a seat and read shit nobody cares about, here is my first 30 day challenge in a day! Disney!

As a fan of anime and a country full of conventions (no really, we have alot and they are all so much fun) it wasn’t long before I started to visit them myself. And what comes with cons? Cosplay ofcourse! Though not mandatory at conventions, it is populair and I do sure like it. Sadly I can’t grow and color my hair at will and what do we do when we can’t do that? That’s right kids! Movie Review: Puss in Boots

Pop quiz time: What do you do when you are running out of ideas for your very succesfull movie-series!

No, Nobody?

You make a Spin-off of course! You take one or more of the characters from the succesfull movie and give him or her one of their own! Disney has done it many times and they failed at it jsut as much! So did Dreamworks do better job with their PG-13 titled movie Puss in Boots?  I would love to say no, but I would be lying.

Game Review; Skyward Sword

The Legend of Zelda; a title of a series that everybody knows. Even if you never played a game, or you like different games. This name will ring a few bells. It’s first game was just called the Legend of Zelda and was released in 1986 and as with most things; aging is hard! But the money cow must be milked every two years or so and that’s why we got Skyward Sword from Daddy Nintendo in 2011. Is it worth the buy and was it worth the wait for a Wii-Zelda game. Let’s find out
